science is art

Fri Nov 29, 2002, 12:26 AM
i want to inspire and provoke. i think more often i merely amuse.
Science is as much an art as anything else. You take the knowledge that you have gained from
the masters who passed before you and using this you create pieces of art you call your own.
Anybody can memorize the rules and theories but it takes an artist to use those rules to form
something new like a theory or piece of hardware. Everybody in their life has a calling to be the
best at something. For some it may as a painter or a poet for others, it may be as a chemist or
surgeon. Some people may leave their masterpiece in the world not on canvas or in a new
technology but in their children. Some people are indisputably unfit parents whilst others are
clearly worthy. For me a masterpiece would be for my child to have absolute confidence in
everything that they do in life, to be completely skeptical and yet completely objective in
everything that they encounter in life. Perhaps more selfishly i would like to see accomplish the
things that i could not, like first in the state for chemistry and making the first XV for rugby and the
starting five for first basketball. But the thing above all else that I want them to do is to never give
up and hold their own priorities below those of others

Perhaps as i further my studies in the realm of life i will come across my calling and create my
masterpiece. Just know this, that science, art, politics, religion and everything that comes in
between are all one and the same. They are as much science as art. And that no matter what
happens during your life, you will find your calling and you will create your masterpiece. It's just
that like so many of the Greats, it will not be called a masterpiece in your own lifetime.

The only thing left to say is,

Forty-six & 2.

Find it, read it. It will tell you what to do.

Have you ever had a dream, that you were so sure was real? What if you were unable to wake from that dream? How would you know the difference between the dream world and the real world?

What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire deviant life, that there's something wrong with the story. You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad.

You take the blue pill, the story ends. Your browser closes and you believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in wonderland. And, I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.

I offer only the truth, nothing more.

Take: The Red Pill
Take: The Blue Pill

Fella Point Right spyed, nobody has ever done this before.
Ninja Point Right I know. That's why it's going to work.

Do not try and bend the spoon ...

Thanks for your comments. Your journal entry caught my attention, i wholeheartedly agree with the concept that we all ahve a calling, and that our respective creative genius can come through in fields other than whats accepted as 'art'. Good thoughts, keep it up :D (Big Grin)
